2.2.23. addDivergence


Purpose

Add divergence of tensor and/or vector fields to an ASCII table. Field data is assumed to be periodic and needs to be arranged with x coordinate as fastest and z coordinate as slowest varying index.

Operates on given file(s) or STDIN right STDOUT.

--fdm integer
degree of central difference accuracy (2,4,6,8)
--fft
calculate divergence in Fourier space
--coordinates / -c string [ ip ]
column heading containing coordinates
--vector / -v string
(list of) column headings containing vector field values. Separate multiple headings by comma: first,second,third,...
--tensor / -t string
(list of) column headings containing tensor field values. Separate multiple headings by comma: first,second,third,...

Examples

  • divergence of first Piola–Kirchhoff stress calculated in Fourier space and from central differences (taking two next neighbors into account, i.e. accuracy 4)
    --tensor 'p' --fft --fdm 4
