The pre and post processing tools and the installation scripts require an installation of Python
On most Unix-like systems, Python is available as a binary package from the package manager (e.g. APT
on Linux, Homebrew
on macOS) or via third-party tools like Anaconda
Apart from the plain Python interpreter, some additional modules are needed.
Almost all tools depend on NumPy
Data visualization depends on the on the Visualization Toolkit (vtk)
respectively its Python bindings
Some tools require SciPy
In future, after the integration of HDF5
will be needed for pre- and postprocessing.
script located in the DAMASK folder checks whether the required Python modules are installed and working.
